Object or form
The situational action model considers the causes of actions that are based on a person’s situation including relationships, financial status, environment, morality, and other factors. Often used in analyzing criminal acts, it might also be used in questions like, "How can situations affect people’s roles in helping reduce climate change?"

1. The area of study should be clearly defined.
2. The actors must be relevant and clearly defined.
3. The situations must be defined.
4. The actions must be related to the actors and the situations.
5. The situation-action results must be validated with data.
