Inquiry game name
Multi-causal analysis

Object or form
Like cause and effect, multi-causal analysis seeks to establish evidence of functional causation, one variable affecting another, except that this considers more than one variable as the cause. A typical question might be “What are the factors involved in the greenhouse effect?”

Rules

2. The variable or factor correlated with the affected variable must be clearly defined.
3. The correlation between variables must be significant.
4. A significant correlation must have evidence to be judged a cause and effect.

Moves
1. Clearly define the problem.
2. Select a variable.
3. Revise a variable.
4. Delete a variable.
5. Determine correlation between two variables.
6. Give evidence a correlation is or is not causative, that is, causing the correlation.

Levels
1. Brainstorm
2. Select
