Object or form
A method of joining data tables to discover the relations between the tables. The cross product of two tables A x B builds a virtual table by pairing every row of A with every row of B. For example, “What are the relationships between CO2 in the atmosphere and global temperatures?”

Rules
1. The data tables must be related to the object, event, or other area of study.
2. The data tables must be similar in scope and coverage.
3. The units of the cross product must be defined.
4. The cross products should be qualitatively evaluated for meaning is relevant.

1. Determine the area of inquiry.
2. Find or develop the databases to perform a cross product.
3. Evaluate and revise the databases if needed.
4. Perform the cross product calculations.
5. Evaluate the results.
